The Nokia 6288 mobile phone is an attractive 3G handset with more than a passing resemblance to the company's 6280 model. The casing may be shinier but the slide-open design and many of the features seem very familiar. Mind you, that's a good thing - because the Nokia 6280 was already pretty impressive.

You'll find two cameras on the Nokia 6288; one on the front for face-to-face video calls, the other using a 2 megapixel lens on the back for taking photos and recording video clips. Video recording is much better than the phone's predecessor, giving you the choice of saving your clips on 6MB of built-in memory or on a 512MB storage card supplied with the handset.

This glossy camera phone is also a multimedia player, dealing with MP3, MP4, AAC and eAAC music files. The high-resolution screen handles everything well, taking care of images, web browsing and 3D games. Other features include text, picture messages, email, Bluetooth, infrared, PC synchronisation and USB connectivity.

The Nokia 6288 may be focussed on video - but it can do much more. This sleek slider is ready to be your constant companion throughout the day.
