The Samsung X820 mobile phone redefines 'thin'. Photographs don't
really do it justice, because this slender handset is a mere 6.9mm
from front to back. That's thinner than a chocolate biscuit!
Fortunately, when it comes to the crunch, this ultra-slim camera
phone won't crumble under pressure. The case is made from fibreglass-infused
plastic, making it tough while keeping it light. Very light, in
fact - just 66g. Inside there's Smart Surface Mounting Technology
(SSMT), which has enabled Samsung to equip the X820 with a wealth
of first-class features.
Its two megapixel camera produces pictures that are good enough
to print. They'll also look good on the phone's wide high-resolution
colour screen - and can even be viewed on your television, thanks
to the TV-output option. The document viewer on the Samsung X820
will let you browse through most popular document formats, making
it a practical handset for work, while Bluetooth connectivity
lets you link with optional handsfree accessories and other compatible
devices.
Despite the feather-light weight and tiny dimensions, the Samsung
X820 has 80MB of built-in memory. You can use it for your photos,
your videos and your favourite tunes. Yes, there's an MP3 player
built in - and it'll handle AAC and WMA music files as well. This
handset isn't just about clever design and impressive technology:
it's a true multimedia phone.
